Terms of use
Pre-launch draft for Australian legal review. This draft must be completed with the operator’s legal identity and contact details before launch.
The service
Open Address is a free advertising platform for Australian residential properties for sale. We do not act as a selling agent, negotiate sales, hold deposits or provide valuation, legal or financial advice. Listing, browsing and enquiries incur no platform fees.
Advertiser responsibilities
You must own the property or have authority to advertise it, provide accurate and current information, use a genuine and lawful price guide, and have rights to all uploaded content. Follow applicable Australian and state or territory property advertising laws. Promptly tell us when information changes or a property sells.
Review and publication
We review submissions before publication and may request evidence of authority. Review is not a guarantee of accuracy, ownership or transaction safety. We aim to review submissions within 24 hours but do not guarantee publication or buyer enquiries. We may refuse, correct, unpublish or remove listings that are misleading, outdated, unauthorised or otherwise unsuitable.
Your content
You retain your rights in submitted content and give us permission to display the approved listing and its photographs on this website while the listing is active. Any use in YouTube videos or other promotional media requires separate permission.
Buyer responsibilities
Independently verify property details, ownership, advertiser authority and transaction terms. Arrange appropriate inspections and professional advice. Do not send deposits or identity documents through this website. Approximate map markers do not identify an exact address or property boundary.
Enquiries and acceptable use
Enquiries must relate to the advertised property. Do not send spam, scams, harassment or unlawful content, scrape private information or attempt to bypass site protections. Advertisers receive your enquiry details so they can reply.
Availability and consumer rights
Service availability depends on third-party services and their usage limits. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
Reports and changes
Contact us to report a concern or request a listing update or removal. We may verify your authority before making changes. Material changes to these terms will be published here.
